How I got the Shittalk Generator to 80kb pagesize

Lesson #1: Probably shouldn't have named it Shittalk Generator. It's hard to tell your family what it is. "Well... it's a script to shittalk people". Maybe I would have named it the Trash Talk Generator, in restrospect

You can track the actual commits I made on Github, you'll see the progression in pagesize.

Here are some notes:

Here's how to add loading bars to bootstrap buttons.

To start, you'll need the following files:

progress_bar.css

progress_bar.js

In your header, you'll need to include the above Javascript file (adapted from http://tutorialzine.com/2013/10/buttons-built-in-progress-meters/)

This started because I logged into my computer at 8:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 21, 2015.

I started setting up our daily emails and needed a good quote for SITE1's email.

I went to the site - it was down. That's weird. I was getting a 500 Internal Server Error - big problem.

The Outreach theme (which SITE1 uses) relies on a file called header.php.

Old Women in Cars and NCAA Madness

I do not like this trend. I'm watching NCAA's March Madness and cannot escape the constant advertisements featuring elderly people complaining in a vehicle. I get it, elderly people are out of touch and old and hahahah I'll totally buy your product because I'm not old and stupid like those people!

And then I'm watching Shaq be deliberately annoying. I don't watch many commercials nowadays, but the ones I do see all seem to be vying for the title of "Most Annoying On Purpose" (MAOP).

I have modified/installed a nifty little tool that converts RSS feeds into email-friendly HTML.

Here’s how we can format our RSS feeds to use within OnGage.

First, head to http://americanlibertypac.com/rss2html.php?buildURL

Let’s pretend we want to convert ALPAC’s feed to HTML (this tool will work with any feed) You will see two boxes:

  • URL for the XML file:
  • URL for the template file:

For ALPAC:
